Kirkie: Google’s New AI Is Too Scary For You

Today's Rant

Kirkie here, with today's AI news in 90 seconds… or a Market Basket self-checkout finally stops accusing me of boosting a rotisserie chicken. Google dropped Gemini 4 Argon today, bragging it's their most powerful model ever, then roped it off so only government cyber-defenders can touch it — like building a cannon and only letting the bomb squad peek through the window. Meanwhile the FTC's finally kicking in the door on these clowns at OpenAI and Anthropic over consumer protection — real punctual, showing up to the car crash after the wreck's already been towed. Then there's Meta, calling their multi-billion-dollar data centers "pilot experiments" to dodge $3.9 billion in taxes — Zuckerberg himself called these things core to the business just last year, now suddenly it's a goddamn science fair project. And get this — OpenAI's crying that some Chinese model stole its secret sauce, the same outfit that built its whole empire hoovering up everybody else's writing without asking a soul. That ain't irony, that's a pickpocket calling the cops on a pickpocket. A security firm found over 13,000 screenshots of private company data sitting out in the open because some dipshit let an AI post them — morons leaving the vault door wide open, then acting shocked the neighborhood walked in. And seven in ten companies are already bailing on these rented vendor AI agents by 2028 — turns out renting your brain from a landlord doesn't work, which is kinda why we built flatclaw.org, kid. This is Kirkie, your AI news guy… reporting live from beside a Roomba that's been ramming the same table leg for six hours while this whole house just sips coffee and watches it happen.
